New software

Let us optimize the Engine Control Unit software. By connecting to the diagnostics port we are able to access and download the original software. We then completely rebuild the software before it is uploaded to the Engine Control Unit again. The result is an increase in the power available at lower rpm and a considerable increase in overall torque. For optimal result it is important to base the modification on the actual vehicle’s software. After downloading the software it takes a few hours to complete the software rebuild, before the new software is uploaded again. For minimal down time the work on the vehicle itself takes only about 2 x 15 minutes. The vehicle can be operated normally during the time the software is being modified.

Rebuilding the software with focus on fuel optimization (Eco Tuning), often leads to significant fuel savings. Add to this the fact that the engine has to work less hard, better ability to sustain rpm under heavy load, fewer gear changes and the ability to maintain a higher gear with lower rpm than before.  Fuel savings in the range of 15 % is not unheard of, quickly resulting in large financial savings.

The customer receives a CD containing the original software. Please note that if reprogramming is done during service, the upgraded software may be erased. In such cases we will replace the software for å small service fee.

Power module

A ProMotech power module is ideal when easy installation and removal is a priority. In addition the possibility of the upgrade being erased during service is eliminated. Also reprogramming is not available for all vehicles

ProMotech’s well engineered power modules offer the opportunity to safely boost engine power. The power increase is obtained by lengthening the duration of the main injection phase. To be able to withstand harsh conditions the power modules are very robust and completely watertight. For most vehicles installation is easily done by attaching the power module to existing connectors. For vehicles lacking suitable connectors the power module must be attach to the electrical system by soldering. Installation time varies from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on type and model of vehicle.
